SCHOOL INTERNSHIP PHASE - II [ 9/06/2023 - 23/06/2023]

The beginning...

The second phase of teaching practice started on June 9, 2023. We chose NSMGHS, Kottiyam in this phase too. We much awaited to see our students and was much delighted in our re-entry. 

There were nine trainees from our school including me. We reached the school that morning. We handed over the attendance register to the HM Judith Latha . We went and met the teachers in charge and discussed the subjects to be taken up. 

I got the class 9E to my subject, English and my guide teacher was Prapha Mary Ann. I took the chapter Learning the Game in 9E. 
After that i could complete a poem titled Bang the Drum and Conditional sentences.
I prepared a working model to present the rules of conditional sentences. Students really enjoyed learning from the model.

As part of reading day on June 19, the whole week was celebrated as reading week. On this week reading celebration was conducted in languages like Malayalam, English, Hindi and Arabic.

  Art and Craft Workshop We conducted an art and craft session as part of school based activity. We arranged the students into several groups and taught them how to make a DIY Puppy. Each of trainees guided each group in cutting and folding them and after children coloured them.  In the next session children brought some colour papers, colours and other accessories as we informed before. We asked students to make some pictures or items using geometrical figures cut from the colour papers.  In the last session we brougt some glass paints and sheets with a printed image and  provided them to children to paint.

SUBJECT ASSOCIATION

Lumina Literati Subject Association activity of English Department was conducted on January 27, celebrating the birthday of Lewis Caroll, the renowned author in English Literature. The theme for the activity was set on the basis of his famous work Alice in Wonderland . On based on it we conducted an exhibition and shown a short film acted by English department students. Other activities like games and speeches were done too. A short film based on transgender issue and a movie review were also presented.
